Preserves from FranceThe Perigord lies in the south west of France, bordering on the Bordeaux region. It has been a fruitful, productive region of France for many centuries. In the north, fruit-growing, cereal crops and livestock dominate whilst in the south east, poultry raising (ducks and geese) dominate. To the south of the region there is intensive farming of starwberries whilst there are many vineyards in the south west - in the Bergeracois. And, of course, the region is famous for its truffles.
